School Lunches

School lunches are usually the single most common point of failure of the FAILSAFE/Gluten/Dairy Free diet that you are attempting. Its also the most vital, as a food intolerance could well cause bad behaviour and poor learning at school.

The first thing to do is to ensure that your child has a big cooked breakfast, a suitable cereal with milk, and some eggs or chicken or steak in the morning, goes a long way in keeping those bellies full a long way into the day.

These are the school lunches that have stood the test:

  1. Gluten free pancakes with a mince and potato filling.
  2. Rice wrappers with a chicken and cabbage filling, with a trickle of golden syrup inside.
  3. A roast leg of chicken, accompanied by a small stack(8-12) of pikelets.
